The Historic Estates from the Boisset Collection

Boisset is a family-owned collection of historic and unique wineries bound together by a common cause: authentic, terroir-driven wines in harmony with their history, their future and the land and people essential to their existence.

With more than 28 historical and prestigious wineries in the world’s preeminent terroirs, including the Côte d’Or, Beaujolais, Rhône Valley, California’s Russian River Valley and the Napa Valley, each house retains its unique history, identity, and style, and all are united in the pursuit of fine wines expressive of their terroir.

Raymond Vineyards

A look at Raymond Vineyards through the years is a historical journey of Napa Valley’s deep viticulture and winemaking roots. The Raymond family arrived in Napa Valley in 1933 and became connected to the Beringer family via marriage in 1936. Roy worked as winemaker for Beringer from 1933-1970, when in 1970, he and his two sons set out on their own with the 90-acre estate property in Rutherford where the winery is located. They released their first commercial wine under the Raymond Vineyards label in 1974 and never looked back. Like all great American family stories, the Raymonds put hard work and a pioneering spirit into their winery. Their dedication has helped make Raymond Vineyards a classic Napa Valley icon.

Buena Vista Winery

Before there were vineyards in every valley north of San Francisco, before Napa and Sonoma were household names, before there was a California wine world at all, there was Buena Vista. Founded in 1857, and spanning from Sonoma and into Napa, Buena Vista is California’s first premium winery, and its history is as colorful as it is proud. Today, the legend has been re-born under the vision of Jean-Charles Boisset.

DeLoach Vineyards

DeLoach Vineyards has been a pioneering producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel in the Russian River Valley since 1975. As a winegrowing region, The Russian River Valley is known as “America’s Burgundy,” a distinction in which DeLoach has been an important factor. The winery has received numerous accolades and 90+ ratings. The Wine Spectator’s James Laube calls DeLoach “one of California’s best producers of chardonnay,” and Wine and Spirits has proclaimed DeLoach “Winery of the Year” TWELVE times, including 2011 and 2012.

JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset

Created by Jean-Charles Boisset, the innovative JCB Collection brings together two worlds of winemaking—Old and New. With the collection, Jean-Charles celebrates his French heritage while embracing his passion for California. Each wine in the collection is a limited edition, and is “named” with a number. These numbers signify a wine style that Jean-Charles strives to achieve vintage to vintage, while also symbolizing important ideas, passions and moments in his life and wine career.

Elizabeth Spencer Winery

Elizabeth Spencer Winery is the realization of a dream by husband-and-wife team Elizabeth Pressler and Spencer Graham, a couple who each enjoyed successful careers in the wine industry and share a love and respect for wine. With a “partners in life and partners in wine” philosophy their wines were built on the importance of strong relationships.

In 2005, they acquired the 1872 brick Post Office building on the corner of Rutherford Road and Hwy 29 and restored the historic property which opened in May 2006 for tastings.

In 2021, Elizabeth Spencer Winery joined Boisset Collection where it will continue its legacy. Under the leadership of Jean-Charles Boisset, Elizabeth Spencer Winery will continue to build upon and cultivate its strong relationships.

From the North Coast to the Central Coast and all that is in-between, the many incredible vineyard sites along famed High 1 bask in the California, sun, producing some truly balanced, juicy, and mouthwatering wines.
